Rustic Romance provides a unique shopping experience—the Barn. Open exclusively during barn sales and with always-fresh inventory, shopping the barn is an experience for customers to find special treasures and one of a kind items.
Rustic Romance Barn Sales are a treasure-hunting experience unlike other antique markets or events anywhere. Merchandise arrives from all kinds of locales and sources, so if you’re seeking antiques, vintage, farmhouse, furniture or architectural salvage, the barn has something for you.
Selections curated with an eye for style
Cindy and her decorator’s eye hand-select every item in the barn, whether it’s an antique 1920s ice box, a refinished dresser, or an item from one of the farmhouse decor lines she carries. The Rustic Romance barn is home to unique vintage items and products from decorator brands you know and love, including Magnolia, KP Primitives/Hearthside, Sullivans, Alice and Jay, and Park Hill. You can get a sense of Cindy’s flair for style when you check out the barn: she loves putting together vignettes around the barn, bringing together pieces from many sources to create a scene or story, and putting new and intriguing items on display for each sale. At Rustic Romance, you will never walk into the same barn sale twice!
Barn sales are held monthly April-December…sometimes bi-monthly!
Started just 2 years ago, the first few barn sales were more like garage sales, selling everything from furniture and old windows to fishing boats! Today, the barn has grown into a charming space of countrified coziness where Cindy can showcase pieces she thinks will really speak to her customer’s broad tastes and interests.
Cindy’s interest in her customers’ aesthetic is a key to the barn’s broad appeal. With her husband, Hugh, as her #1 picker and refinisher (and personal cheerleader); her son, Jeremiah offering his master carpenter skills making rooms in the barn; and her friends Laurel, Missy, Carole and Agra along to assist with the heavy lifting setting up, barn sales today offer a much more refined antiques experience.
The barn is occasionally also open for private appointments for interior designers, set designers, and wedding or event planners. Most recently, Cindy has worked with set designers from HGTV, People magazine, Country Living magazine, and local event planners/wedding consultants who work with The Knot magazine.
